We put our faith in 100% recycled 925 sterling silver and 18K gold vermeil plating. Your 925-stamped piece is real silver strengthened for the real world: 92.5% pure with a touch of alloy to give it resilience. Designed to be worn day after day, it will collect a surface patina, making every piece feel a little more like yours. For your gold vermeil pieces, this is all about depth. Rather than brass or copper, our gold is anchored on a base of silver, lending a satisfying weight and substance to your jewellery. The gold is layered thick - at least 2.5 microns - which holds the glow of solid gold in layers thicker than average plating. In fact, since we know that your hands are busy, we’ve actually layered extra gold onto your rings for durability.
We understand that we would not have stories to tell if there was not a beautiful planet and people to draw them from. We’d like to keep the stories flowing, so we have seen to it in person that our jewellery is crafted with exceptional ethical and environmental standards. The precious silver is recycled from medical X-ray film grain from Singapore, and also recycled from our RJC-certified (Responsible Jewellery Council) friends in Thailand. This certified trust ensures that your jewellery does not carry the tarnish of violating human rights, environmental standards, ethical mining practices, or truthful product disclosure. They also operate with International Renewable Energy Certificates (I-RECs) - which have reduced their carbon dioxide emissions by 68 tonnes per year - whilst our friends in Bali actually collect their leftover silver sprues and refine them back into fine silver. This internal recycling system removes impurities and unwanted trace metals, ensuring each casting tree is sustainably made with a purity over the regular 92.5%.
We’ve ensured that our packaging is fully recyclable, and the international shipments that we ourselves receive from our manufacturers are delivered with compostable, eco-friendly materials flown with DHL’s GoGreen SAF (sustainable aviation fuel).
Craftsmanship
Every single piece that you see begins as an idea of ours. We’ve sketched and measured every concept, and witnessed many of them come to life with our Thai artisans. Quality is the only thing that matters, and it’s a slow process, for sure. From start to finish, our opening collection took 11 months, going back to square one on many occasions - all forged from the Lost Wax technique. For some, their form takes shape through the traditional and painstaking method of hand-carving wax - a slowly forgotten skill which carries an intention that cannot be faked.
Every design is carved, soldered, hammered and burnished by hands that have been honed over years and even decades. One at a time. Small batches. No mass production with machines. We choose ethically sourced materials and mindful packaging, and here, in our Casa, we take the utmost pride in how the soul takes form in the metal. We build what lasts, not what’s disposable.
